Privacy Notice of the charity Supporting Dalit Children (SDC)
1. As Controller, SDC holds information about supporters of SDC which in most cases is the information each supporter supplied to SDC when that person became a supporter of SDC, and comprises the following: Name, Address, Email, Year of Commencement of Support
2. That information is carefully secured as data on a database held by SDC which is the Processor of the data. The data will be available to its helpers and to those who are organizing any event to which they wish to invite the supporter. It will not otherwise be shared with any other party. The data will be held for the purposes mentioned below until the supporter ceases to be a supporter of SDC
3. SDC uses or processes that data only for the following: -
- to send supporters communications and information of interest as necessary, including events and news
- to send invitations to events
- to send supporters goods they have ordered
4. Supporters’ Rights
- A supporter can ask for a copy of any data SDC holds about that supporter
- A supporter can ask for that data to be amended or removed and
- A supporter can ask SDC to restrict the processing of that supporter’s data

5. The law allows SDC to process supporters’ data if it is in its “legitimate interest” to do so. SDC considers that it has a legitimate interest in ensuring that supporters receive from SDC the items mentioned in this Privacy Notice
